To ensure the reliability of the bulk power system and to protect your company from exposure to NERC CIP Standard noncompliance, it is vital for all employees to understand their role within a CIP Program.
In support of this goal, WFPA has developed a complete series of Role-Based Training learning modules to guide employees as they perform their job functions within a CIP environment. Additional modules are developed specifically for your organization based on our evaluations and in coordination with your subject matter experts regarding specific procedures and processes.
Training Module Development
WFPA training modules address key areas of CIP compliance such as:
> Internal Performance Checks (audits)
> CIP Standards for Senior Management
> Technical Feasibility Exceptions
> Critical Asset Identification Methodology
These elements of CIP compliance are supported by each individual CIP Role as defined through our independent analysis of your CIP Program.
The CIP Role groups, or "Families," identify a number of tasks that are performed to achieve the desired product or service (results or outcomes) in accordance with the CIP standards. It is through the combined efforts of all role members that CIP compliance is achieved.
Module Delivery
WFPA can capably administer your Role-Based Training programs through several methods of delivery:
> WFPA web-hosted Learning Management System (LMS)
> Your organization’s LMS (with modules customized to fit individual design specs)
> Instructor-led training sessions.
Sample modules for testing and evaluation by CIP managers and delegates are available by request from WFPA.
